Daimler Truck has grown rapidly in the first quarter of this year, largely thanks to a bus sale boom
Heavy vehicle manufacturing giant Daimler Buses has reported a 55 per cent growth in its sales in the first quarter of 2023.
With more than 5,500 sold in the time period, Daimler’s bus business has helped grow its revenue by 52 per cent, with a 15 per cent increase in sales from the same time last year.
The jump from 3,582 buses sold to 5,570 in the first quarter of this year has grown the overall worth of Daimler Truck.
Daimler Truck chief financial officer Joechen Goetz told BusWorld that he was satisfied with the results, particularly in the bus sector.
He says the company has set a goal to continue growing in 2023, with the strong start keeping them well on track.
He says the high demand for Daimler buses, trucks and services is a great foundation to make the most of 2023.
