Daimler Buses takes home six vehicle awards at Busworld

Daimler Buses is another vehicle company that achieved major success at the recent Busworld Vehicle Awards

Daimler Buses has won a total of six awards at the international trade fair Busworld that was recently held in Brussels, Belgium.

The specialist panel at the Busworld Vehicle Awards once again took a liking to Daimler, with the eCitaro winning the Grand Award Bus and Comfort Label sectors.

Daimler’s Setra TopClass S 516 HDH won the Grand Award Coach gong as well as two Coach Comfort and Coach Safety label awards.

The eCitaro is a prime example of Daimler’s zero-emissions city bus development, while the Setra premium touring coach showcases durability and long-distance comfort.

The eCitaro was globally recognised at the awards ceremony

The Setra also received further recognition, with Italian trade magazine Autobus handing the model a Sustainable Bus Award for 2024.

Daimler Buses head of marketing, sales and customer services Mirko Sgodda says the recognition highlights the brand’s standing globally.

“These internationally acclaimed awards raise our leadership role in both the development of electric mobility and the expansion of new safety and assistance systems,” Sgodda says.
