Cubic vice president appointment to create “seamless user experience” for public transport

Beverakis will be focused on continuing to improve ticketing processes and technology and the user experience on public transport in the region

Cubic Transportation Systems (Cubic) has appointed Dino Beverakis as vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific and head of Australia to drive the modernisation of transport ticketing systems.

The company is the longstanding transport ticketing technology provider in a number of key global cities, including New York, London, San Francisco Bay area as well as Sydney and Brisbane.

With public transport usage rates at at all time high in Australia right now, Cubic president Peter Torrellas says it is important now, more than ever, to ensure that customers have a seamless journey.

“Australia has long been a core market for our business, as we operate the technology behind key transport networks in cities like Sydney and Brisbane,” Torrellas says.

“Dino will play a pivotal role in leading our innovation efforts here on the ground, with a focus on creating a more seamless user experience through utilising the latest transportation technologies available globally.”

Prior to joining Cubic, Beverakis held key leadership positions at various professional services organisations such as Avaya, Optus and The Somerville Group.

“Dino’s experience in managing stakeholders and delivering exceptional customer service is of strong benefit to our business as he leads our regional teams into the future,” Torrellas says.

Beverakis holds a Master of Business Administration from the Queensland University of Technology and will lead the Cubic APAC team from the regional head office in Sydney, Australia.
