A global refrigeration company has made the move to air-conditioning by developing a unit for small to medium buses.
Bitzer SE Group started making its Roadstar compressor at the beginning of this year.
The strengthened drive gear and its innovative surface treatment increase the level of reliability and extend the service life of the compressor, even in extreme conditions, according to the company.
They also claim the integrated oil-collecting tank simplifies maintenance and collection of the oil, which is isolated in very small amounts and required for lubrication and sealing as well as cooling the shaft seal.
The reliability and performance also impressed customers, including Spheros Middle East General Manager Paul-Rainer Hoffman.
“We were using more than 160 compressors and we were able to rely on all of them at all times, even in the extreme conditions of the Middle East,” he says.
