North shore Sydney commuters have been given their marching orders to the ticket reseller as Military Road weekday bus travel becomes pre-pay only

Sydney’ north shore commuters will be sent marching to the ticket seller as they join the cashless commute on STA’s bus network, with all bus stops on busy Spit and Military Roads becoming PrePay from mid-December.
Sydney Buses Chief Executive Peter Rowley says as PrePay continues to expand across the network, more ticket resellers were selling prepaid tickets.
“An additional 167 Australia Post outlets across the Sydney metropolitan area, including Spit Junction, Mosman and Neutral Bay, have recently signed up to sell Sydney Buses tickets,” Rowley says.
He says there are now more than 1,500 ticket outlets across the Sydney metropolitan area.
Sydney Buses has informed passengers about this PrePay conversion through brochures, press ads and signs on buses and at bus stops.
Sydney Buses staff will also be at bus stops along Military Road before the 13 December conversion date, to assist passengers with information about the right PrePay ticket to buy and directing them to ticket resellers.
Rowley says 45 bus routes service 29 bus stops along Spit and Military Roads between Spit Bridge and Neutral Bay, all converting to PrePay only between 7am and 7pm weekdays, starting December 13.
