CDC Australia has announced an experienced director will be the operator’s new non-executive Chairperson
Operator ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia (CDC) has announced the appointment of Russell Balding as its non-executive Chairperson.
CDC Australia says Balding is no stranger, having been on its Board as Deputy Chairman from September 2014 through to February 2017.
He is concurrently an independent and non-executive Director in the Singapore-based and listed ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited, CDC’s parent company.
Balding is the ComfortDelGro Group’s first overseas based director.
CDC says he brings with him extensive government, stakeholder, community and customer engagement experience, having held numerous directorships and senior executive positions in major organisations.

He is currently serving as Chairman of Racing NSW, a Board Director of The Trust Company (Sydney Airport) Limited and Racing Australia Limited. In addition, he is Deputy Chairman of Destination NSW.
ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia CEO Nicholas Yap says he is pleased and looking forward to working with Balding as the company’s first Australia-based Chairman.
“Russell’s vast experience, which includes previous service to CDC as well as many other prestigious organisations, will enrich the Board as we navigate the challenge of electrification, amongst other things, and the opportunity to continue linking people to places and communities across Australia,” Yap says.
