HVAC company Coachair says it’s excited to announce that well-known industry name Mick McKenzie has joined the team as its technical support and training team member in Melbourne.
McKenzie has spent 28 years in air-conditioning, starting as a unit installer before moving into breakdown and service work.
More recently, he was a service manager supporting a large Victorian bus operator with AC maintenance for their fleet of 700 vehicles.
He’s also had a long working history with Coachair, buying spare parts, repairing products, performing warranty work and supporting the Coachair team with industry expertise.
As part of the new role, McKenzie will provide Coachair’s technicians and customers with crucial product tech support and training both in person and over the phone to anyone who needs it in Australia.
“Welcome to Coachair, Mick. We can’t wait to see all the great things we’ll achieve together,” Coachair says.
McKenzie says he was thinking about retiring, but couldn’t resist the opportunity offered to hm by good friend in Coachair’s Anthony O’Donnell.
“Anthony was trying to build something and I could see that things at Coachair had changed since he’d been on board,” McKenzie says.
“So, I thought, why not join the journey. The journey is what excites me – it’s the future of where we’re going.”
