Buslines Group operators across New South Wales will operate reduced and amended timetables during the Christmas and New Year period, with most services moving to school holiday timetables and limited or no town services on public holidays.
Passengers are encouraged to carefully check operator-specific details, as public holiday operations vary by region.

The following operators will operate school holiday bus timetables from Monday, December 22, 2025, through to Friday, January 23, 2026, unless otherwise noted:
- Ballina Buslines
- Bathurst Buslines
- Berrima Buslines
- Dubbo Buslines
- Forster Buslines
- Griffith Buslines
- Lithgow Buslines
- Orange Buslines
- Ulladulla Buslines
- Wingham Buslines
- Northern Rivers Buslines
- Northern Rivers Buslines (Nimbin services)
Tamworth Buslines will operate school holiday timetables from Monday, December 22, 2025, through to Thursday, January 15, 2026, before transitioning to Festival Express services.
The following operators will operate Sunday timetables on these public holidays:
Thursday, December 25, 2025 (Christmas Day)
Friday, December 26, 2025 (Boxing Day)
Thursday, January 1, 2026 (New Year’s Day)
Monday, January 26, 2026 (Australia Day)

The following operators will not operate regular town services on the public holidays listed above:
- Berrima Buslines
- Forster Buslines
- Lithgow Buslines

- Wingham Buslines
- Northern Rivers Buslines (Nimbin services)
For Lithgow Buslines, services marked with an “S” on timetables (school-day-only trips) will not operate during school holidays and will recommence on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
During the Tamworth Country Music Festival, school holiday timetables will be temporarily replaced.
- Festival Express timetables will operate from Friday, January 16 to Sunday, January 25, 2026
- Regular school holiday timetables will not operate during this period
- Festival services are designed to support travel across the city and key event precincts
With reduced services and public holiday variations in place, passengers are encouraged to:
- Check local operator websites for route-specific details
- Allow extra time when travelling on public holidays
- Be aware that some regional towns will have no local bus services on key public holidays
