CDC Victoria has this week proudly celebrated its 15th anniversary in the state, marking its ongoing legacy of service, innovation and growth in public transport.
CDC Victoria first began in 2009 when it acquired Kefford Corporation, focusing on upholding community-focused transport service traditions.
It then expanded through the acquisitions of Tullamarine Bus Lines and Buslink in Mildura and Broken Hill before opening its state-of-the-art site at the Wyndham depot in 2018.
In just 15 years, CDC Victoria has made history in the state, introducing the state’s first and only double-decker route bus in 2015 while also welcoming 50 hybrid buses and eight electric buses.
“Looking back, we have carried forward the proud legacy of the Kefford Corporation, growing with acquisitions like Tullamarine Bus Lines and Buslink in Mildura and Broken Hill,” CDC Victoria CEO Jeff Wilson says.

“Now, with our successful tender for three of the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning’s Metropolitan Zero Emission Bus Franchises (MZF), we are excited to transition to full ZEB operations within the next decade. This milestone reflects our commitment to greener and more sustainable transport solutions.”
Wilson says community engagement remains at the heart of the operator’s mission. With the company aiming to champion diversity and inclusion while empowering youth and advancing sustainability.
“Our incredible team, past and present, has been instrumental in achieving these successes,” ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia (CDC) CEO Nicholas Yap says.
“I am grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. Together, we have built strong connections across Victoria and Australia, and I look forward to continuing this growth.”
After 15 years in Victoria and 20 in Australia, CDC says its community roots remain the foundation of its success.
CDC Victoria held an event this week to celebrate the milestone, inviting members of the industry to share in the anniversary.
As CDC Victoria celebrates its 15-year milestone, the company looks to the future with optimism and determination. It says its commitment to innovation, sustainability and community engagement ensures a solid foundation for the next chapter, continuing its mission to connect people, places and communities across Victoria.
