A well-known industry name has already been elevated to CEO of CDC NSW in a leader shuffle
Major operator ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia (CDC) has announced that two industry veterans have changed positions.
David Mead, who recently joined the company from Volvo Bus Australia as Chief Projects Officer of Zero Emissions and Emerging Projects, will transition to the position of CEO for CDC NSW from July.
CDC says Mead’s comprehensive knowledge of the bus industry – gained through almost 20 years’ experience with a major global vehicle supplier – will continue to inform CDC’s national operations on new vehicle technologies, while taking on the responsibility of overseeing CDC NSW’s public transport and charter operations.
Outgoing CDC NSW CEO Edward Thomas, who helped the business navigate the difficulties of COVID, recent industry-wide driver shortages and the renewal and expansion of major government contracts, will now report to the ComfortDelGro Singapore office.
Thomas has accepted the interim role of Group Senior Projects Officer for the ComfortDelGro Group, reporting to the ComfortDelGro’s Managing Director / Group CEO.
ComfortDelGro Australia CEO Nicholas Yap says he’s excited about the revitalised leadership structure.
