Busworld is officially done for another instalment, with one brand in particular dominating the coveted Busworld Vehicle Awards.
Announced in the latter days of the nine-day event held in Brussels, Belgium, the vehicle awards saw eight different areas recognised by a jury of around 30 international experts.
The jury was divided into 12 specialist working groups who evaluated every aspect of vehicle performance, from design and safety to digital systems and sustainability.
The two grand awards both went the way of Yutong, who took home the Grand Award Bus with the Yutong Bus U15 and the Grand Award Coach with its T14E model.
Yutong was a consistent force in the awards, taking home labels of excellence in three other segments.
In the safety bus sector, the U15 received the label, while the same model also did in the ecology area.

The Yutong IC12E shared a label with Otokar’s e-Territo 13 in the ecology coach segment, while Setra’s S 515 HD received labels of excellence in the safety and comfort coach regions.
Finally, Mercedes-Benz’s eCitaro took home a label for the comfort sector in the bus market.
Busworld 2025 also saw the first Vehicle Design Awards announced, with the jury evaluating the interior and exterior design and ergonomics of all buses and coaches displayed, including those not competing in the main Vehicle Awards.
In the Design Coach space, VDL Bus & Coach won with its Futura 3, while the U15 took home the award in the bus space. Runners up were Yutong T14E and King Long’s Merry Combo in the coach space, while the eCitaro and BYD B13.B. were runners up in the bus area.
Honourable mentions were given to UNVI C26’s concept vehicle and Autonomous Systems for its design impression.
