Busways is back as the official transport partner and diamond sponsor for Penrith’s REAL Festival
NSW operator Busways says it is proud to be the official transport partner at Penrith City Council’s family friendly REAL Festival 2023 as it returns after a three-year hiatus.
The festival is back from Friday September 15 to 17 at Tench Reserve on the Nepean River.
With an expected attendance of 30,000, the festival features an array of attractions, such as a dedicated arcade zone, plenty of local artisans and vendors in addition to hosting some of Sydney’s best food trucks.
Stage shows, art installations and pop-up performances from Australian and internationally celebrated performers, artists and musicians will also be on throughout the three days.
Busways Penrith depot manager Georgette Golding says Busways is thrilled to be partnering with Penrith City Council again to help people get to and from Real Festival.
“As a diamond sponsor, Busways will be hosting the fun, free roller rink and running a free shuttle bus service each day to ensure you can get to the festival with ease,” Golding says.
“Three of these will be electric buses – if you’ve never ridden one before you’ll enjoy the quiet, smooth and eco-friendly ride.
“Avoid parking hassles, leave the car at home and take public transport for great day out with family and friends. We are encouraging everyone this year to roll with us and take the bus!”
The Busways free shuttle buses will travel a 20 to 30 minute loop during certain times on all three days of the festival.
The shuttle buses will be accessible and can accommodate prams and strollers, with drop off and pick up locations including Penrith Train Station, Jamison Park at Batt Street and at the festival itself.
