BusNSW says all roads lead to Sydney Showground for Bus Expo

BusNSW is looking forward to the Bus & Coach Expo, which is a week away for the industry

The Australasian Bus and Coach Expo 2022 is being held at Sydney Showground on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 October 2022 with the doors opening at 9am each day.

The Expo will be officially opened by NSW minister for regional transport and roads Sam Farraway at 11am on Wednesday 5 October 2022, and will include an address from Rob Sharp, Secretary of Transport for NSW.

BusNSW Executive Director Matt Threlkeld says BusNSW looked forward to welcoming several thousand visitors to the world class event.

“BusNSW has a long history of organising bus and coach exhibitions and we believe this will be an event like no other,” Threlkeld says.

“There will be more than $50 million-worth of vehicles and equipment featured across 14,000 square metres, with more than 120 exhibition booths showcasing an extensive range of products and services.

“As we begin the move to zero-emission modes of public transport, this expo provides a unique opportunity to see and evaluate battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell technology in the one location.

“I encourage bus operators and government representatives to see as many exhibits as possible and to speak with supplier representatives about current and future procurement needs.”

BusNSW President John King says access to state-of-the-art products and services, and strong relationships between operators and suppliers, has been vital to establishing a dynamic industry.

“We are pleased to have the NSW government supporting the event, which will be showcasing the technology needed to drive efficiency in the provision of public transport and further improve customer experiences and safety,” King says.

“This Expo gives operators, government, industry suppliers and the general public a chance to reconnect post pandemic, and a look into the future of public transport.”

Visitors are encouraged to pre-register online via www.busandcoachexpo.com.au for free, quick and convenient entry to the Expo on the day.

Visitors can pick up the official Expo Showguide, which is part of the August edition of the ABC magazine, at the entry to the Expo. The guide includes general information, contact details for every exhibitor, and a map to help visitors find their way around.
