Steady optimism

Bus sales once again broke triple digits in the month of August

A total of 102 buses were reported as delivered in August, maintaining similar levels to July’s tally of 104.

Scania increased its deliveries from 27 to 38, leapfrogging Volvo and becoming the most prolific chassis supplier for the month.

Volvo, the now-second placeholder, had a drop from its previous deliveries from 44 to 34.

Yutong, Hino, and MAN tailed with six deliveries each.

Volgren continued its dominance in bodies built reporting 43 delivered in August, and increase of seven over its July tally.

Bustech were also prolific, jumping up from four in July to 17 bodies built in August.

The ever-strong supplier of air-conditioners, Thermo King, were busy supplying units to half of the buses delivered in August (51), though Coach Air (12) and Spheros (8) both had a decent run that month.
