Both hailing from bus operator Busways, Joanna Edwards and Teigan Baker are among the finalists for this years iteration of the awards.
Edwards has been nominated for the Safety Advocacy Award, which recognises an individual working actively to improve safety for their industry.

Baker has been named a finalist for Rising Star of the Year, which recognises an individual who has shown significant promise within their chosen industry or who has reached new goals at the start of their career.
“These inspiring women have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact across their fields,” the finalist announcement reads.
“From engineering and manufacturing to mining, logistics, and beyond, this year’s finalists represent the very best of what’s possible when talent, tenacity, and passion meet.”
The awards will be held on June 19 at The Carousel in Melbourne.
