Brisbane bus services resumed as normal at 5.30pm yesterday afternoon after a strike called by drivers was ruled illegal by the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC).
Around 220 drivers called a snap stop-work over the treatment of a casual driver by the media, and by the Brisbane City Council.
The driver has reportedly resigned from his position, while drivers have returned to the IRC this morning in a bid to resolve the dispute.
Buses have been operating normally this morning, but Rail Tram and Bus Union spokesman Owen Doogan told The Brisbane Times drivers were still angry.
Doogan says the Brisbane City Council had handled the incident badly after it immediately stood the driver down before commencing an investigation.
The RBTU is being sought for comment.
