An alleged serial bus-driver robber has been arrested in Sydney’s west.
New South Wales Police arrested a 17-year-old male at Parramatta Police Station yesterday
after he allegedly used aerosol to rob three bus drivers in two weeks.
The alleged robberies occurred on March 26, April 5, and April 8 near Briens Road, Northmead.
During all three robberies, the offender allegedly used aerosol to threaten bus drivers and demand money from their cash tins.
In the third incident, the bus driver initially refused to hand over cash but was allegedly sprayed in the face and arms with spray paint.
In all three incidents the
male allegedly
fled the area after obtaining cash.
Each of the alleged robberies took place at about 10am.
The teenager has been charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and robbery and steal from a person.
He was refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Children’s Court today.
