MiX Telematics announces integrated, automated journey risk management solution
Global fleet management and vehicle tracking company MiX Telematics has launched a new service to give bus drivers real-time alerts about road obstacles and hazards.
The service known as MiX Journey Management is an electronic risk management system aimed at operators needing an easy and automated way to keep their drivers and passengers safe and secure.
“MiX Journey Management replaces tedious paper-based journey management processes as well as the need for operators to develop their own in-house solutions,” MiX Telematics’ Australasian head of sales and marketing Lianna Giuffre says.
“Fleet operators across a diverse range of industries can manage their journeys from start to finish online, instead of using outdated manual alternatives that are time consuming and error-prone.”
The new service integrates seamlessly with the organisations existing SafeDrive software.
“The solution’s integration with MiX SafeDrive is an industry first and also means customers are exposed to a host of other features to improve safety and efficiency within their business,” Giuffre says.
“By implementing MiX Journey Management, operators are able to apply a proven business process involving journey requests, approvals and real-time monitoring.”
MiX Journey Management addresses journey risk exposure in a broad business sense: from the protection of drivers, passengers and cargo, to business reputation around service quality and compliance factors.
The system can be particularly useful for coach and tour operators covering long distances or travelling through remote areas, where the need for risk assessment may be higher and journeys need to be planned carefully and monitored closely.
