CMI Hino dealer in Regency Park celebrates its own 45 year milestone in Adelaide
Staff at a Hino dealership in Adelaide marked 45 years of service at Regency Park recently.
Those associated with the dealership came together to reflect on its success and rich history.
The dealership supplies buses to operators throughout South Australia, as well as multi-use trucks.
CMI is a part of the CMV Group and CMV Group joint managing director Paul Crawford is proud of the Adelaide team and the Hino brand has retained its stellar reputation through the years.
“In the early 1960s, we became involved with Toyota Motor Corporation through Thiess Toyota, and that then led us in the late 1960s to become involved with this new brand, Hino trucks,” Crawford says.
“In those days Hino was really setting the new benchmarks for reliability and durability which was not seen up until then.
“Obviously Hino trucks have really evolved over the last 50 years, but I’ve got to say that the foundation for the Hino brand – particularly its quality, durability and reliability – was there from the beginning and is still there today.”
The Adelaide dealership employs 30 staff, is the only Hino dealer serving the South Australian capital city, has won the Hino Dealer of the Year Award for the last two years running and is one of three Hino dealers in the state.
CMI Hino was born in June 1970 and their 45th year has been a general theme for CMI in 2015, starting with the Hino Dealer of the Year conference in January where CMI was presented with a award for 45 years of service.
