The Pulitano has begun the process of merging their various bus and coach interests into one group. Joe, Filip, Cos and Frank Pulitano will form Pulitano Bus group. It will include Northern Bus Lines in Melbourne, Bus Queensland and its various operations in southwestern Brisbane, Mansfield-Mt Buller snow, tourist and school services, Australian Coach Tours and the just acquired Cranbourne Bus east of Melbourne. Joe Pulitano said the group had already started common purchasing to reduce costs. Chassis were being bought as a group and fuel and parts deals were being negotiated. The group would also be able to afford better quality management systems. It will have about 300 buses.
