Tourism and Allied Holdings (TAH), South Australia's largest private tourism investor, today announced the acquisition of South Australian-based coach touring company Festival Tours. The company already owns and operates Coachlines of Australia and with the acquisition of Festival Tours, its major competitor, has strengthened its portfolio to become the leading tourist coach operator in the state. According to TAH director, Gerard Pagliaro, Festival Tours met the company's high service standards and is complementary to the company's existing suite of tourism operations. "When we started we set ourselves on a path of acquisition, focusing on South Australian-based tourism infrastructure facilities and we are continuing to look for suitable tourism-based companies to join our portfolio," Pagliaro says.
