The board of the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) decided to leave interest rates unchanged at its monthly board meeting held yesterday. The decision - widely expected in the lead-up to this weekend's federal election - leaves the official cash rate at 5.25%. However, despite signs of a cooling in the economy, analysts still forecast a rate rise before year's end.
