Bus summit bonanza

BusNSW has chosen early October for the 2016 Australian Bus and Coach Show in Sydney

The Australian Bus and Coach Show will be held at Sydney Showground on Wednesday, October 5 and Thursday, October 6 next year.

BusNSW announced dates for the 2016 show, after the 2013 event was hailed as a world class exhibition and the best ever staged in Australia.

BusNSW executive director Darryl Mellish says it is excited to lock in dates for 2016, and the early announcement should give operators and industry suppliers plenty of time to plan for the event.

“We are hoping to build on the success of 2013 with an increased number of national and international displays, covering more than 15,000 square metres all under the one roof,” he says.

In 2013, industry representatives acknowledged the benefit of having all booths and bus displays integrated in one large indoor arena.

“Our open door policy and complete focus on the exhibition proved to be the right recipe to attract a large number of bus operators from across the country,” Mellish says.

“The two day event will again allow bus and coach operators to see a range of new and innovative products and services.”

In conjunction with next year’s show, BusNSW will also host its 75th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Wednesday, October 5.

“The 75th Anniversary is a significant milestone for the bus industry and we look forward to acknowledging the association’s achievements at the dinner,” Mellish says.
